Mar 22 (31/365) - Still not sure if I like that bubble umbrella - liked the angle and backlight on this, though.



Mar 23 (32/365) - A night reflection in my office window. I figured I might as well tell the truth about my schizophrenic day. Intentionally blurred.



Mar 24 (33/365) - Discovered a problem with white walls - they're SO boring. Had to make white space interesting, so I tried some motion on a slow exposure.



Mar 25 (34/365) - You would not believe how difficult this shot was, a mom running low on patience, a photographer frustrated with her subject (me, not the baby). It almost became "the day my dust project ended." But I got a shot that worked.

Aaaand I took a break last week to work on other stuff. More to come!

(13/dust)

I did not have much inspiration today. With my tripod officially broken, I am forced to figure out natural-type positions with the camera set up on whatever is handy. My non-dusted piano is helpful for setting things on - and for creating cool reflections.

And then there are the freebies - this vintage wedding dress I found in a wilted Gerbera this morning. Can't you just see her spinning?

Engagement: Aaron and Amy

We did an engagement shoot over the weekend, the first time I've picked up the camera since I started feeling sick. (Claustrophobia behind the viewfinder has been an issue...)

This is one of my very favorite shots from the two-location shoot, found in a puddle left by the storm we had missed earlier while we were shooting at the beach. Congratulations to my new friends Aaron and Amy, who survived my rather nervous chatter and queasy, overheated head for what turned out to be a wonderful shoot. I'm quite looking forward to shooting their wedding in July!

my first love for a long time was music; it probably still is - it's the only thing the the world sometimes that touches the place where I cry. my husband helped me buy this piano when he was just my friend, and now i walk past it every day and wish i had a moment to sit and play. or the emotional energy. because I cry now when i play.

for today, anyway, it made for a good triple self-portrait.

strange that I can still hear my piano teacher clapping her hands and saying, "tri-puh-let, tri-puh-let..."

Saturday, 4/11/09 - I didn't officially shoot a 365 on Saturday, so I pulled an instant fave from my 50+ G to share from the wedding I shot. I can't get over the romance of this little detail shot - get a load of that kiss!

91/365 - hello, it's me

Shutter Sisters issued a self-portrait challenge today, and I had Photoshop fits with the shot I chose to post there, but this was one that did come out okay. I didn't really want to post the teacup I shot to death this morning, so I went with this one, because it fit my mood much better post-conniption.

I hope your Saturday is less frustrating than mine has been...

89/365 - the dogwood wept a puddle

Boy did we have a rainy day today. I was working on my teacup series from yesterday, so I didn't go out to shoot until this afternoon, which meant I missed most of the rain, but oh well. I got a lovely puddle!

Bonus Shot Friday

A favorite from our aquarium visit yesterday. I should have been photographing the fish, you know, but I couldn't get over the people. Or rather, the feet. Since it's Bonus Shot Friday, I'm posting this shot as my bonus. I love the mirroring effect of this with the play of the light and blue...

I'm loving the red azaleas out my window. Today, they offered the bit of bright I needed on this mostly cloudy day.
