4:8 Project - Gracious

4.15.2009

"But I will sing of Your power; Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; for You have been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble. To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; for God is my defense, my God of mercy." (Ps. 59:16-17)

For some reason, this photo just reminded me of Him this morning... It's quite processed, but I don't mind. I was going more for mood anyway.

This photo is for my 4:8 Project, a project which I started to focus my photographical eye on the words in Philippians 4:8. Each time I post a photo for this project, anyone is welcome to comment with a permalink to a photo of their own for any of the words in the list below, from several different versions of the verse.

Each month, I plan to award the owner of one photo an 8x10 or 8x8 print of their choosing from my daily photos. I missed last month because of two weddings and the issues with those, but I will be awarding a print at the end of this month.

NOTE - Entered photos do not have to be professional quality. I'm just looking at how the word you chose makes the viewer consider your photo...

true
noble
right
just
honorable
pure
lovely
admirable
commendable
excellent
virtue
good
praiseworthy
reputable
authentic
compelling
gracious

Today's 4:8 Project honoree is Gabriela, whose picture of "lovely" takes my breath away. Why did God make dandelions so BEAUTIFUL when they died? I always hated that they had to be a labeled a weed...
