104/365 - evening teatime

4.18.2009

some thinking-type tea - a reminder of last night's mental wanderings...

101/365 - peaches for tea

4.15.2009

Minimally processed. I love these teacups so much! I'm not really into the classic fine china - but give me anything bone china, and I just about swoon. This is from a set of four. And yes, I shoot these when I am thinking about background - or out of ideas and want a quick shot. It's easy, beautiful, and never the same twice!

Weekend Giveaway

4.08.2009

Here's the drill - we're going out of town for a wedding. I don't want to have to think about blogging or checking stuff. So leave me a comment on this post, and I'll have my daughter draw one of your names on Monday morning to get an 8x8 print of this photo! I have it on my desk now, and let me tell you, it's gorgeous!

To see the rest of the set (or to purchase a print), check out this post!

I'll be catching you up on my 365 (and a few wedding photos) next week! Here's hoping you have a great weekend!

Don't have a title for this one. It's a photo for today. Yay. I really like the two crops I got from it that create a little mini-set. Ideas for a title will be considered. Leave a comment!

I'm pretty crazy again this week, trying to get my weekend work done before we leave for a travel wedding on Thursday. Keep your eyes peeled for a print give-away this week!

"He brewed his tea in a blue china pot, poured it into a chipped white cup with forget-me-nots on the handle, and dropped in a dollop of honey and cream. He sat by the window, cup in hand, watching the first snow fall. 'I am', he sighed deeply, 'contented as a clam. I am a most happy man."

Sixty-Nine - Some Bokeh With That Tea?

3.13.2009

Shutter Sisters suggested taking a picture of something pretty today. I went for tea with bokeh near the sheers in our living room. It's a really gloomy, icky day here. Hurrah for soft, warm light!

Fifty-Four - A Little Winter Time

2.26.2009

I know I said I was going to try a self-portrait today, this is the closest I got. I had a bit of processing leftover from yesterday afternoon and evening, and I didn't want to spend a lot of time setting up a shot, so I went with how I was feeling today. Quiet, tired, in need of a little time to pause in the rush of everything I need to finish that keeps getting put off. I love L'Engle's writing - she is so creative, so authentic. I have only just started the book, but I'm loving it already!
