Fifty-Five - Pink Spring Rising
2.27.2009
The problem with this 365 project is that some days, I just find way too much to shoot. This is somewhat okay today, because it's Friday, and I'm putting up a bonus shot, but good grief, I got a bunch! This is what happens when the sun comes out! So I had to pick a 55/365, and I found a criteria to pick, anyway. Shutter Sisters gave a bit of a challenge yesterday that I decided to try, about intentional bokeh. This is the shot that grabbed the most bokeh this morning, so this is what you get! Go visit them and see what they had to say about bokeh - it was really helpful for me! I've gotten this stuff accidentally before, but the on-purpose stuff is a bit more creative. I just love this one pink bud emerging from the bokeh background...

Thirty - A Brighter Day
2.03.2009
After what feels like weeks of cloudy and a hidden sunrise, the sun came out with promise behind these trees this morning. I love the spiky colors in the light here, scattered around by the screen I shot through to get this. Maybe it's a little bright, a little too saturated, but I am in love with the light that is filling my world today.

Twenty-One - Soft Morning Lights
1.26.2009
We keep Christmas lights on a dark trellis behind our TV in the living room so we can have soft lighting in the early mornings and during the evening when we want the lights lower. Today is our third cloudy day in a row, and I'm weary and seeking the light. This photo made me dream of warm tea and a good book with a bit of falling snow we probably won't see here in our new home in the South.
