71/365 - The Day After
3.15.2009
Everyone always comments on how they've never seen another photographer do what I do to get the pictures I get. I am up, down, all over the place at weddings, practically climbing the walls if I have to so I can see everything. It makes for some very creative shots. It also combines with my Lyme disease and need for rest to make a two to three day recovery from every wedding I shoot.
Every once in a while I think to ask myself if it's really worth it.
Oh yeah.

That, my friend, is the sign of a good photographer!
Rest up!
oh yes.. wonderful!! Today I was at the park lying on the pavement to get a picture, lol. It's all good!!! Lovely picture!!!
so worth it...esp when the bride and groom see that results. get some rest. happy weekend!
My wedding photographer was like that too! Standing on the chairs and everything! And I didn't care, as long as she got the shots!
I have to say, I saw this picture and the title "The Morning After" and I was like, whoa Kelly! Are you getting all racy on us? ;) Just teasin'.
Well, it was "The Day After" but it looked like morning from you photo!
A good sign of a dedicated photographer is one who is willing to sacrifice their body for the shot. Good for you and I'm sure the newlyweds will appreciate your efforts. Thanks for the visit and comment today!
I know exactly what you mean..but you do know - of course - that it's always worth it!!!
Good that you know when you need to rest..and rest when you need.
Bless your heart---- i have fibromyalgia so I do know how hard it is to do something physically demanding such as photography. It IS demanding. Rest up..
Oh, I hope you feel better soon. I think I would be like that if I took wedding shots. This weekend, I climed the fence to get a shot of my husband and his horse, he said to me, "I never would have thought of doing that." Anything for the shot:)
