Thirty-One - Spray Bright Evening Into Dark

2.04.2009

Pete took me to the river tonight at sunset. Ten rushed minutes of cold shooting to catch one lovely moment with warm eternity. I love what I do.

Check out my One Word Project photo for today. And I have to share one very excited update: this shot made it onto the Shutter Sisters One Word site today!

Hey girl, did you click on the links in the post to see the pics closer? One takes you to Flickr and the other to the other photographer's site . . .

Just have to say I love your pics... amazing!!! BTW, I was wondering what font you used in your header?

Headmeister, thanks for your comment - the font I used was Worstveld Sling Extra, a free font from dafont.com

Breathtaking.

I take that back - I think we use "breathtaking" in a wrongheaded fashion. This sort of beauty is breath giving - life giving - because it reflects the image of the Author of Life Himself. What takes breath from our body gives breath to our soul.

Oh this one settles deep. I've been in hiding from the cold and am grateful for the warmth of this image.

This is fantastic... I really love it. Such intentional focusing, if that makes sense - I love how the eye falls somewhere in the middle (in terms of depth) and then just wanders in and out from there. So lovely, and sublime light.
