Forty-Two - Little Valentine

2.14.2009

she went out shopping with her mommy in the rain,
dressed in hearts and pink and red,
never realizing
she would be
a photographer's valentine.

this shot was so perfect for pulling out the pink and red in black and white. we had a lovely rainy valentine's day, and i let myself edit today's shots into a vintage mood... Hope your day has been as nice as mine has!

I love what you did here with the photo. So glad to hear you had a nice day shopping! It's nice to get away alone sometimes....something I don't think I've ever done since my little one was born!! Maybe once or twice....I don't remember. Anyway, we had a nice Valentine's Day too. Went to dinner and the bookstore...one of my favorite places.

You asked what the flower is on my blog, and I can never remember. Someone said hibiscus, but I don't think that's right. My step-mother gave me that bush, so I need to ask her again. It's so lovely in the spring and summer.
